Yes, every month, Aloha Life Letters features new, original, Hawaiʻi-inspired artwork, a new personal letter from Kelly Valencia, a featured ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi word or phrase with a private cultural language lesson, a private video edition of the letter, a recipe, and occasional unannounced surprises. The number and format of physical art pieces you receive vary based on your membership and location. You'll also receive an extra, special print in your birth month!

Yes. My signature is my initials, KLVA—how I have signed my work for years. “KLVA” appears printed on the front as part of the artwork, and I sign the back by hand. International and EU members receive a double-sided art card or two postcards, each written on and signed by hand before it goes in the mail.

Yes, the first sixty international members receive an original, on their first anniversary. It arrives as an original 2.5" × 3.5" painting, written and signed by me, sent as correspondence, the way the rest of your mail from me arrives.It is not a drawing, and there is nothing to enter—stay subscribed for twelve months, and it comes. The founding group closes once sixty places are filled.International subscribers are not eligible for the Monthly Original Art Giveaway. That one is restricted to the United States, its territories, and the District of Columbia by United States promotional law. The anniversary original gift is a different thing entirely: a membership benefit rather than a prize won by chance.
