Every month, your gift sends a little piece of Hawaiʻi straight to their mailbox—original art, meaningful words, island stories, personal encouragement, and something especially personal: handwritten correspondence from me, created just for them.

The International Correspondence Edition includes the same two featured works of art, the complete Aloha Life Letter, private videos, and free shipping as the U.S. membership, for the same $17/month. The experience is simply designed a little differently for mail traveling beyond the United States. Instead of arriving as separate art prints, the artwork becomes part of the correspondence itself—beautifully reproduced on either one illustrated greeting card or two postcards, which I personally write on before mailing from my home on Kauaʻi.

In other words, they don’t receive less than US subscribers. They receive something even more personal.

What They’ll Receive Each Month

•    Two Original Works of Art by Kelly Valencia (Reproduced) from Hawaiʻi: Both of the month’s featured artworks by Kelly Valencia, beautifully reproduced on either one premium double-sided illustrated greeting card or two postcards, created especially for international correspondence. The format varies from month to month.

•    A Personal Handwritten Note Just for Them: This is what makes the International Correspondence Edition especially personal. Inside their greeting card or on the backs of their postcards, I’ll write to them by hand—real pen-pal correspondence filled with a little extra encouragement and aloha, written here on Kauaʻi before their mail begins its journey across the miles.

•    The Complete Aloha Life Letter: My full monthly letter, filled with personal stories, reflections, encouragement, life lessons, glimpses of life in Hawaiʻi, and ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi. Each letter is written by me, Kelly Valencia, and printed in a font created from my own handwriting on beautiful, high-quality stationery.

•    Video Edition of the Letter: Prefer to listen? They’ll also receive private access to a video recording of me reading the month’s complete Aloha Life Letter—perfect for accessibility, listening on the go, or simply enjoying the letter in an even more personal way.

•    Private Hawaiian Language Video Lesson: Exclusive access to a private video exploring the pronunciation, meaning, usage, and cultural context of the month’s featured ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi word or phrase.

•    An Authentic Snail-Mail Experience from Kauaʻi: This isn’t something printed and shipped from a fulfillment center. It’s real, tangible correspondence thoughtfully prepared in Hawaiʻi and sent to their physical mailbox each month.

How the Gift Works

Their first envelope arrives as a complete surprise—I don’t send an announcement in advance. Inside, along with the month’s correspondence, they’ll find the "Welcome to Aloha Life Letters" note every new subscriber receives, so they’ll know who it’s from and what’s coming.

Your card is charged today and on the same date each month. The membership continues until you cancel it, which you can do anytime in your account at least 3 business days before your next renewal date.

Same $17 membership. Same two original works of art. Same complete Aloha Life Letter. Same private video experiences. Same free shipping, wherever in the world their mailbox is. Same Aloha Life Letters experience. An even more personal way to receive it. And every now and then, their correspondence may arrive in an unexpected form—perhaps even handwritten on the back of an original piece of art—just because that’s what friends do.

Please note: The International Correspondence Edition is designed for subscribers located outside of the US and its territories as one double-sided illustrated greeting card or two postcards, each carrying a personal handwritten note, which helps keep each monthly mailing simple and minimizes potential customs complications. International mail may still be subject to customs duties, taxes, or other import charges determined by the recipient’s destination country. Any applicable charges are the responsibility of the recipient.
